about Shobha
Shobha Ohal is the founder and creator of Shobha Ohal Designs. She received her training in Austin, TX at a small community college studying for years under Master Goldsmiths from across the country. Since then she has created her own original line of handmade jewelry.
Her designs are created in sterling and fine silver, 14 and 18k gold, using varied smithing techniques such as fabrication, lost wax casting, etching, mokume gane, and stone setting. Drawing from her Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts her designs invoke a sense of history and culture, combining the old with the new creating unique pieces that are seen not just as adornment but as wearable works of art.
